UltraBac 9.1.1 - Now Available

UltraBac 9.1.1 is now available. This build includes a number of improvements and fixes. A new build of UBDR Gold 5.0 is also available and includes improved support for Windows 2008, Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 7.  UltraBac 9.1.1 can be downloaded from the UltraBac web site. Feature Focus: Adding Drivers to UBDR Gold.

No matter how up-to-date UltraBac Software might be with supplying device drivers for UBDR Gold, there are times they have not been added into the software yet. Due to the frequent number of newly released drivers sometimes a manufacturer might be overlooked.

It is easy to load a new driver during the UBDR Gold boot process by simply using the built-in advanced utility to "Inject NIC/Storage Driver." If the system being used as a restore target does not have the proper NIC or storage driver automatically available, this option allows users to specify a driver for that hardware without needing to reboot the system. To inject a driver:
 
   1. From the Tools menu, select "UBDR"/"Inject NIC/Storage Driver."
   2. Type or browse to the location of the driver's INF file.
   3. Click "Inject."
   4. Close the UltraBac Management Console.
   5. When prompted to reboot, click "No."

When the network screen opens, the newly injected driver will be loaded and ready for use.

New Zetafax Case Study

We have a new Zetafax case study that's hot off the press. Zetafax has delivered considerable savings for The K Club by allowing them to phase out 25 fax machines. Replacing all this hardware, with its ongoing costs of paper, ink and fax lines has produced a significant cost saving.

Zetafax is used by hundreds of Irish organisations to send and receive critical business documents. It supports email integration as standard and can also send and receive faxes via an IP based telephone network.
