General Information
JHD™ is web based help desk and
service management software. IT
departments, facility
management, network
administration and other
departments use it to provide
services to employees within the
same organization. Customer
service and support departments
or organizations use it to
provide services to their
customers. JHD is installed as a
web application on your own web
server. Users access it through
their web browser.
Users come to the service web
site to submit service requests,
check status of old service
requests, search the knowledge
base for information,
participate in discussion forums
and read company announcements.
Service technicians use the web
site to check their work
assignments, respond to service
requests, manage their service
appointments, manage assets and
inventory, etc.

System Requirements
JHD runs on a Java "web
container" such as Tomcat,
WebLogic and WebSphere. Users
access it through a web browser.
Hence, JHD works on any
operation system including
Windows, Linux, Unix that has a
Java application server. The
only requirement for a
workstation is that it has a web
browser installed.
JHD works with all database such
as MySQL, MS Access, MS SQL
Server, Oracle and Sybase. A SQL
script for MS SQL Server is
provided. You can easily adapt
it to other database systems.
