WinReporter
Administrators constantly need to have a clear vision of the entire
infrastructure of their Windows NT/2000 computer network.
Yet as
more and more workstations and servers are added to the network, obtaining
and managing data becomes increasingly difficult. WinReporter®
facilitates network management by retrieving all indispensable data
linked to the functioning of the Windows NT/2000 network (LAN and WAN)
and maintains retrieved information in an ODBC type central database.
More, WinReporter® offers a set of 31 predefined reports that will help
network administrators in their audit and monitoring tasks: hardware
upgrades, software updates and licensing, security checks, ...

Predefined reports
Hardware

General configuration: select computers according to frequency,
processor idle time (%), memory size, memory in use, total disk size and
free disk space
- Memory upgrade: displays how much the RAM size can be upgraded on your
computers according to the maximum modules size allowed and the number
of free slots.
- Disk space analysis: select partitions of your network according to
their size or free size (in GB or in %). Physical disks can even be
displayed.
- Disk space evolution: follow the evolution of the free space in the
time
- Memory space evolution: follow the used memory evolution in time (over
several snapshots)
- CPU time evolution: follow the processor time evolution (over several
snapshots)
- Video configuration: select computers according to video memory,
colour depth, horizontal resolution or refresh frequency.
- Devices: find and list devices available in the device manager from
all your Windows computers (for example, you can list all modems
installed on your network)
- Printers: list printers according to share status (Yes/No), plugged
(Yes/No), colour, double-sided, port, model, paper size, etc.

Install statistics: count the number or copies installed on your network
for each software
- Products location: locate computers on which a specified software is
installed
- Newly installed products: find recently installed applications
(between two snapshots)
- Software analysis policy: find computers that don’t match your
software policy according to a list of approved/unapproved/required
products

Service Packs and Hotfixes: displays OS version, Service Pack number,
Internet Explorer version and Service Pack number, and if a specified
hotfix is installed or not.
- Users in groups: displays members of a group, of a union of 2 groups,
and other combinations
- Services analysis: display computers that don’t match your services
policy according to a list of approved/unapproved/required/need to run

- Local accounts analysis: same report as previous but for local

- Process tracking: displays all process starts (time, user, file …)

- Service errors: displays services errors notified by the service

and crashes according their to the event log.

Added/Removed computers: added and removed computers between two
snapshots
- Computer changes: find computers on which settings have changed
between two snapshots (for example find all computers whose RAM size has
been upgraded)
- Generic query: select records from a WinReporter table according to a
simple criterion over one field
- Global report: displays complete information about all your computers,
users and groups of your Windows NT/2000 network.
