Itheon
Availability Manager (iAM):
Technical Overview
What is
Itheon Availability Manager For?
Itheon Availability
Manager is a web based, modular IT infrastructure management
solution that enables you to:
- View the status and availability of IT
based business services
- Monitor Application Response Times and
delivered Quality of Service
- Monitor and manage applications,
databases, servers, networks and storage
all within a single,
flexible, end-to-end high availability solution.
Each of the modules that
make up Itheon Availability Manager can also be implemented individually,
allowing you to select the infrastructure management solution that best
matches your current business needs and budget.
What does
Itheon Availability Manager do?
Traditional IT infrastructure management solutions have
tended to focus on individual aspects of the IT environment such as
servers, network devices or applications in isolation.
As a result, it has proved
difficult to understand the full impact of any IT failures on the business
itself.

Itheon
Availability Manager business
service status view
iAM addresses this by
defining a business service in terms of its IT-based components and giving
a top down view of the services.
Whenever there is a significant change in
the availability of key business services or degradation in quality of
service, alerts can be sent enabling the support team(s) to drill down,
identify the root cause of the problem and take corrective action in order
to restore a full service.
In addition, event and performance data can
be stored and used to produce reports/graphs on the health and
availability of your IT infrastructure.
As a result, iAM is the ideal solution to
help you with Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance. |
