Discovery Lifecycle Management
|
| |
|
When it comes to tracking IT
assets, a one-time snapshot
that’s out of date the moment
the audit is complete just isn’t
good enough. That’s why
Centennial Discovery is designed
to find, audit and track all
software and hardware throughout
the full lifecycle of the asset,
from cradle to grave. |
| |
|
So
whenever a new piece of hardware
is added to the network,
Discovery will automatically
report what kind of device has
been detected (PC, server,
printer etc.) and where in the
organization it is physically
located. |
| |
|
By
deploying a small client agent
to new PCs and servers,
Discovery will return a complete
audit of all component hardware
and installed software. But
Discovery doesn’t stop there.
The client agent will then
continually monitor the computer
for configuration, location and
software changes, dynamically
updating the asset repository
when important changes occur –
even if there is no periodic
audit scheduled. |
| |
|
No
matter where in the organization
the asset is moved to, Discovery
will continue to provide a full
audit so that managers can build
a complete historical view of
usage, location and
configuration. |
| |
|
Even when outdated equipment is
retired or returned, Discovery
can maintain an archive version
of the asset record, enabling
organizations to meet regulatory
demands for audit trails and
record-keeping. |
