interSeptor Software & Sensors

interSeptor is supplied complete with a temperature and humidity sensor as standard. 2 x optional Go-Probe sensors can be connected to the temperature/humidity probe.

In addition, a further optional temperature or temperature/humidity sensor can be connected to interSeptor, and 2 x optional Go-Probe sensors can also be connected to this probe.

Temperature & Temperature/Humidity

High and low warning and critical temperature and humidity thresholds can be configured in the interSeptor to ensure alarms are raised when room or rack conditions are abnormal. The hysteresis configuration facility ensures that alarms are not continually triggered when levels are ‘floating’ around the configured thresholds.

Go-Probe: Water Leak

The interSeptor water leak sensor is supplied with 3m or 18m of leak detection ‘tape’. The tape can be run under air conditioning units, in ceiling voids, under raised floors, under pipes, and around room perimeters to provide a comprehensive, easy-to-install, leak detection facility.

Go-Probe: Smoke

The unique sensor connectivity design of the interSeptor facilitates installation and monitoring of the smoke detector, especially on ceilings. The cable connection need only be run from the temperature/humidity sensor which will typically already be installed at an elevated level.

Go-Probe: Security

The security sensor option is a magnetic reed contact sensor, ideal for monitoring rack or room door access.

Go-Probe: Power

The Go-Probe power sensor will detect the presence or otherwise of utility power.

Go-Probe: Universal

The Universal sensor is an interface cable that can be connected to any device offering an open or closed or high/low output. interSeptor can monitor this output for changes in state and alarm accordingly. The Universal sensor can be connected to equipment such as generators, air conditioning units, printers, UPS, security systems, fire alarm systems, etc.

SOFTWARE

Browser

interSeptor can be monitored and managed ‘out-of-the-box’ via its comprehensive browser interface.

Key features include:

• Visual ‘comprehensive’ interface for quick identification of temperature/humidity or Go-Probe sensor alarms
• Straightforward labelling of sensors to identify location and type of sensor
• Quick configuration of alarm thresholds, email recipients, trap receivers, system information
• Viewing of extensive event and detail files, all of which can be exported in .csv format into excel, etc.

Java

A Java screen can be launched via the interSeptor browser interface to display real-time meters or graphs for each sensor being monitored.

Network Management

interseptor can be integrated into network management systems supporting SNMP.

For customers without a network management system who wish to purchase multiple interSeptors, our own Enviro NMS Dashboard software is an SNMP based network management system enabling monitoring of multiple interSeptors and other SNMP devices via a single software package.

Dashboard will enable you to integrate disparate SNMP devices, set up ‘tasks’ for every parameter that you wish to monitor, and provide and range of alerts (visual, audible, email, etc.). Dashboard’s 24 hour ‘record’ facility, uniquely enables you to quickly analyse any unusual occurence.

E-mail alerts from the interSeptor series can be translated to SMS text alerts when used in conjunction with our Active SMS software.
