Northern Storage Reporter collects, compiles and presents an instant,
in-depth analysis of your storage. You can schedule customized reports
or immediately drill-down to the information you need - from
enterprise-wide storage usage reports to department specific forecasts.
Northern Storage Reporter offers data under three main headings:
- Overview: displaying aggregate data, regarding
servers, volumes and usage; offering an at-a-glance status report.
- Users:
offering detailed information about the
amounts and types of data your users are storing, as well as where
they are storing it.
- File Types:
providing usage data by file type or
by custom defined file type groups. Manage the content directly or
by using the information to tune your policies in Northern Quota
Server.
These groupings offer you
three different starting points, from which you can investigate further
depending on what type of information you are currently seeking. Three
different starting points from which you can drill-down to the exact
answer to your SRM questions.
The depth of information made available by this drill-down approach is
invaluable for your proactive Storage Resource Management. Make use of
information such as storage trends for a given volume, and the estimated
date when the volume will be full, lists of the largest files on a
certain volume and detailed information about the type of content
